Verdict
The Panasonic Lumix G 45-150mm f/4-5.6 OIS may not be able to touch the very best lenses out there, but for a tele zoom lens that is usually sold as part of camera kits, the results are impressive. That's not so much in terms of peak performance but it has consistently sharp quality across the range. The very low amount of CAs contribute to the high sharpness perception. Distortion is nothing to worry about. It helps to stop down a little bit to tame the vignetting at both the 45mm and 150mm ends of the range.
The build quality is solid although it hasn't been carved out of rock. The fast AF as well as the pretty capable image stabilizer are complimenting the very nice package. All-in-all an obvious choice for starters as well as users with a weight budget.
