Verdict
The Tamron AF 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 SP Di II LD Aspherical IF left us unimpressed regarding its performance. There's a significant amount of barrel distortion at all focal lengths, CAs are rather high at the shortest focal length, as is vignetting. The resolution figures at the borders are ok, but the extreme corners are disappointing, at least at larger apertures. Stopped down, however, the corners resolution reaches levels, which may be sufficient for most use cases.
The center resolution is excellent at both ends of the zoom range, at least when stopped down, but drops a bit at medium focal lengths.
Given its rather low price (compared to similar lenses) the Tamron may still be an attractive offer, especially for those who shoot in this focal range occasionally only. You get what you pay for here: not outstanding, but maybe good enough.
